The Architecture firm of OTTO/WALKER was established in Park City, Utah in 1987 by Richard S. Otto and Mark A. Walker. Since its inception, OTTO/WALKER has specialized in the custom design of the finest single family homes. The resume of the firm shows that it has completed and continues to complete the best projects in the finest developments in the Park City, Deer Valley, The Canyons and surrounding areas. The experience gained by the partners prior to the inception of OTTO/WALKER helped to develop their philosophy toward the design of successful mountain architecture. Rick Otto moved to Park City in 1979 and Mark Walker arrived in 1980, both to further their careers in a burgeoning resort area. Once OTTO/WALKER was formed, they found that they were able to take this philosophy to another level. The ability to maintain a creative design approach by listening to and working with its varied clients has been the key to the ongoing success of the firm.
OTTO/WALKER maintains a professional staff of seven, including the partners. The shortest tenure for a staff member is six years with the firm. This ensures a consistency of effort in completion of design and construction documents as well as the follow through during the construction observation period. Being based in Park City, and having been established for 21 years, OTTO/WALKER has developed relationships with those involved in all aspects of the construction industry. This includes the local Planning & Building Departments, the best available Interior Designers, General Contractors and all resources to make the experience of residential design and construction in Park City a successful and enjoyable venture.
